Updates on the Diagnosis and Management of Hereditary Colorectal Cancer

Objectives:

• Identify the need and role of colorectal cancer risk assessment in improving early detection and risk reduction.
• Review recent advances, screening, prevention strategies, and surgical options for individuals identified as being at high risk for colorectal cancer.
• Increase the number of individuals who know their risk for colorectal cancer and those identified as being at high risk.
• Increase the number of individuals who engage in cancer genetics counseling and testing, as well as prevention/early detection programs and strategies for those at risk.
