Free PAD (PVD) Screening

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD), sometimes also known as peripheral vascular disease is a disease in which blood vessels are narrowed by atherosclerosis, a build-up of fatty deposits in the peripheral arteries. Typical symptoms include pain in the legs with walking that goes away with rest. Conditions or lifestyle can contribute to PAD – smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and atherosclerosis. PAD can dramatically increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Screening is simple – we take a medical history and ankle brachial index (ABI) and counsel patients for their risk of PAD. Results are shared with the patient and can also be sent to your primary care provider.
