Brushes With Cancer: Art Therapy Workshop

Join MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and Twist Out Cancer’s art therapists, Jacqueline Carmody and Kim Spaulding as we explore gratitude and how to create space for gratitude in our lives through an in-person art therapy workshop.

At this workshop, we will explore the Danish principles of Hygge, which is the coziness that creates feelings of contentment and good well-being. We will use art materials and processes of Hygge principles to create art that brings us joy, peace, and comfort.

No art experience necessary, just an interest in using art materials for expression, growth, and opportunities to connect with others. This event is free and all materials will be provided.

Twist Out Cancer is an international non-profit organization that provides psychosocial support and creative arts therapy to individuals who identify with a cancer experience. Learn more at www.twistoutcancer.org.

Registration required. Open to adults - patients, family members, cancer co-survivors, and healthcare professionals are welcome.
