How a Plant Based Diet Can Benefit Cancer Survivors
Research supports that a diet filled with plant-based foods can improve the health of survivors at every stage of their cancer journey. Additionally, studies have shown that plant-based diets are associated with lowering the risk of certain cancers and decreasing the risk of developing cardiac disease, diabetes, and other chronic health issues. But what exactly is a plant-based diet? During this presentation, we will answer that question and discuss how to incorporate more plant-based foods into your daily routine.
During this presentation you will learn about the following:
- What is a plant-based diet?
- What are the benefits of a plant-based diet?
- How do I add more plant-based dishes to my diet?
- How can plant-based diets lower my risk for certain cancers and heart disease?
Join us as MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper presents Linda Goldsmith, MA, RD, an outpatient oncology dietitian, and Ashlee Brown, MHA, BSW, TTS, Population Health Advisor from ScreenNJ as they help shed light on the benefits of plant-based diets.
