Maintaining Good Oral Care Throughout Your Survivorship Journey
Thursday. June 6, 2024, at 12 p.m.

Join Cynthia Scott, a Registered Dental Hygienist, with Cooper's Center for Comprehensive Health as she discusses the importance of good oral hygiene, the potential late effects of cancer treatments, and the need for ongoing follow-up care.

This presentation will focus on the unique oral health needs of cancer survivors, and the methods and products of oral care that can be helpful and better enable patients to maintain their teeth and improve their quality of life as a cancer survivor.

About the Presenter:
Cynthia Scott is a Registered Dental Hygienist with Cooper's Center for Comprehensive Health. She began her career as a dental assistant in 1989. After becoming a Dental Hygienist, she worked in various practice settings before focusing on medically integrated dental care and oral systemic health. She holds Certificates in Oral Systemic Education and Oncology Care from The National Network of Healthcare Hygienists. In her work with the Cooper Center for Comprehensive Health, she strives to deliver collaborative, patient-centered care, connecting the oral health with the rest of the body.

This one-hour presentation will include a Q&A session. We look forward to you participating in this lively informal discussion sponsored by the Wellness After Cancer Survivorship program at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.
