Medication Management for the Cancer Survivor
As a cancer survivor, you may find yourself taking more medications than you’re used to. Instructions on how to take medications can be confusing at times. Taking them correctly is essential to your health and recovery. Being your own advocate means staying informed and understanding what each medication is for and how to take it properly can make a big difference in your well-being. In this presentation you will learn about the following items.
Please join our MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper expert and pharmacist Avani Yenamandra PharmD as she discusses Medication Management for the Cancer Survivor.
Online discussion will address the following:
- What are some questions to ask your doctor when taking a new medication?
- Medication storage/ disposal safety tips
- Over the counter medications that can help with common side effects from cancer and its treatment
This one-hour presentation will include a Q & A session at the end of the presentation. We look forward to your participating in this live informal discussion sponsored by the Wellness After Cancer Survivorship Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.
