Overview: This is an Academy “extended session” designed to extend our understanding beyond the realm of the clinical world. This intriguing session will provide attendees with insights into the factors that have influenced health care policy and laws and regulations that govern our industry. Former Congressman Andrews will share information about the political dynamics of the policy making process in Washington and how key constituencies have shaped health care policy, as well as share his views on the current state of health care and what the future holds for institutions such as Cooper.
