Rise for Equity

Presented by Cooper Psychiatry and Behavioral Health for Cooper Team Members Only:

Please join us for a talk with Mandilyn Graham, MA, LCP, CCTP, CPC. Ms. Graham will speak on Engaging, Managing, and Bonding Through Race (The EMBRace model). This is a racial socialization intervention created to address racial stress in marginalized communities. Attendees will explore the current state of race and racism in the field of behavioral health in order to critically evaluate the history, systems, and beliefs that contribute to present day health disparities. Clinicians will also be introduced to racial socialization as a practical tool to broach race and racism, through the lens of cultural humility, in the therapeutic space.
