The intended audience for this conference includes primary care physicians and geriatricians. Residents, fellows, and other physicians with an educational need or interest in this topic may also attend.
Overall Learner Objectives
Describe the common spinal pathologies that are more prevalent in patients of advanced age. Develop an approach to evaluating spinal problems in elderly patients. Understand the nonsurgical treatment options for elderly patients who present with spinal problems and their indications. Determine the surgical treatment options for elderly patients who present with spinal problems and their indications.
