20th Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course for Rheumatologists:
Overall Learner Objectives: At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe the principles of musculoskeletal ultrasound and the use of this technique in clinical practice
• Appreciate the indications and limitations of implementation of musculoskeletal ultrasound into daily practice and patient care
• Recognize and identify normal and abnormal musculoskeletal anatomy
• Perform and interpret basic or intermediate ultrasound examination of the following joints and surrounding soft tissue structures, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot
• Describe the clinical relevance of musculoskeletal ultrasound findings and appropriately apply this to patient practice • Understand how to perform ultrasound-guided injections
