Pediatric Trauma Care: Saving Lives for the Future


Overall Learner Objectives:

  • Describe current and emerging strategies in the pre-hospital, hospital, and post-hospital care of critically ill and injured pediatric patients. 
  • Understand the role of pediatric trauma centers and how the multidisciplinary approach to management of pediatric trauma optimizes patient care. 
  • Identify strategies to improve the management of pediatric pain as reflected by a 3% increase in patient satisfaction scores.

Intended Audience: The intended audience for this conference includes specialists in emergency medicine, trauma surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pediatric surgeons, pediatric intensivists, pediatricians, and physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians. Residents, fellows, advanced practice nurses, emergency medicine and trauma nurses, pre-hospital personnel, and other physicians with an educational need or interest in this topic may also attend.
