Overall Learner Objectives:
The 3rd Annual South Jersey Neurovascular and Stroke Symposium will serve to unite multiple health systems with the common interest of improving stroke patient care and outcomes. The symposium will feature topics presented by specialists in the management of acute stroke and neurovascular emergencies. Topics will include best practices utilized across the nation to reduce door-to needle times, improve patient outcomes, and improve patient and general medical provider recognition of acute strokes and neurovascular emergencies.

Discussions will also be held regarding new guidelines released by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. Other sessions include case reviews, panels with experts within the field of emergency medicine, and a panel that will offer the perspective of those who are with the patients in the ICU.
Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the complex nature of acute stroke and neurovascular emergencies, and what the future may hold for this dynamic field of medicine.
